Planning for Weather

“It never rains in Southern California”…. Planning for Weather

They say rain is good luck on your wedding day and maybe that’s true but it can be a costly last minute addition to your wedding budget if you do not plan for it. Plan for the worst and hope for the best! When considering a venue, some things to consider are: the time of year, alternate options in case of rain – does your venue have an indoor space as well? or is it a space that can be tented if rain is in the forecast?

If planning your event in the winter or spring it would be good to have a backup indoor option or an emergency budget for a tent. We can provide a separate quote for just the tent so that you can have an idea of what that would cost in case of rain. Also remember to plan for weather and take that into consideration when selecting a venue. We have both solid white or clear canopy tents in a variety of sizes. We can also provide tent walls or heaters to keep your guests warm and toasty if weather does not go in your favor.

We are truly fortunate to live in an area that has such a mild climate and a slim chance of rain normally, but anything is possible. Plan for the worst and hope for the best! Even if it does not rain, weather is still a factor that you should plan for when building your event. It can get chilly at night or stifling hot during your ceremony and cocktail hour depending on the time of year. We offer lava or traditional patio heaters and propane or wood burning fire pits for those cold nights. Additionally, we carry a variety colors in 9 ft wide umbrellas or shade canopies for the hot sunny days. It’s also good to think about your catering team, bar tenders and musicians. They may need shade for their set up or a heater to keep warm behind the bar on a cold night while they serve up delicious cocktails for your lively dancing crowd. Give us a call so we can assist you in planning your next unforgettable event!
